Japanese Furin wind Chime - Monk Jizo

Ceramic furin in the shape of the monk Jizo, a Buddhist monk, whose name translates into "jewel of the earth".

He is the protector of children and travelers. Jizo statues are very popular in Japan,

especially along country paths and at crossroads, so to protect travelers during their itinerary.

These bells can be seen in the summer months on the balconies of Japanese houses and play with the blowing of the wind.

The term "furin" in fact means bell in the wind.
