The Japanese name of this beautiful Kokeshi Akikaze, which translated means Autumn wind.

Kokeshi wears a beautiful blue Kimono decorated with dragonflies.

The Kokeshi is entirely hand painted by the artist Oki Izumi.

The Artist Oki Izumi was born in 1956 in the city of Shibukawa in the prefecture of Gunma.

She has won numerous awards including:

1984: "Rookie of the Year"

1994: "Creative Kokeshi Association Award"

1997: "Tokyo Shinbun Award"

1998: "Minister of Education Award"

2013: "Forestry Agency chief Award"

She is a member of the National Association of Creative Kokeshi.
